Since 2010, which is since its introduction, cross-laminated timber (CLT) has found widespread use in residential and commercial buildings as an alternative to conventional technologies. The CLT technology enables the use of waste materials, including waste from the production of glulam structures. This means that CLT can be obtained without using new wood resources and full-sized timber. The development of CLT production capabilities has made it easier to harness the advantages desirable in the construction industry – for the advanced prefabrication of walls, floors or flat roofs, significantly accelerated construction processes and cost savings at the design stage and on-site.
The surfaces of CLT members have an aesthetic appearance, which means that it does not have to be concealed (depending on the architect’s vision), providing significant savings during fit-out works on the building. CLT also ensures high thermal and noise insulation, which is often a very important criterion, as well as high fire resistance (this has been proven in many tests).
CLT technology is all part of our range. We can build entire housing structures or just parts of buildings, such as walls, floors or flat roofs.
